Development Report – August 2024

Welcome to our very first Unmasked Truths: Shattered Dreams game dev report!

Over the last few months the team has spent plenty of time transforming the written lines into a voiceover-ready script and are almost finished recording with the voice actors in California! 

Directors Adele and Mana are so thankful for the opportunity to have met so many amazing professionals in-person and to have learned so much about the voiceover industry in the process. They even got to experience firsthand the mayhem when the SAG-AFTRA videogame strike was announced. While the strike didn’t affect our project, we absolutely stand by the voice actors in their battle against an industry becoming overrun with AI.

Our main goals with the voiceover going forward is to finish sharing previews on social media, and proceed with processing the rest of the raw recordings into files we can implement in-engine.

With that in mind, we’ve welcomed even more new members to the team, including 3D Artist Chris Pearce and Social Media Manager Sasha Blore! We’re happy to have them as we continue with 3D Environment work and tailoring our approach to sharing the game and marketing it to the people who would most love to play it.

We’re also hard at work preparing assets that will be reorganized into an all-new website for you. We have a ton of fun ideas in the works, so be sure to check back for updates as we get later into the fall season!
