Development Report – March 2025 – Live Music Recording, UI, Cafe, and Sprite Progress

It’s all coming together on the Unmasked Truths Team!


Starting off this month’s devlog…. our Steam page finally became public! As a new indie developer, we appreciate every bit of support we receive, and the response we’ve had so far and the number of people who have liked, shared, subscribed, and wishlisted the game on Steam has absolutely blown us away!

Thank you, everyone, for showing your support of our team and the project!
Shortly after the page went live, members of the 3D, Concept, Writing, Marketing, and Art teams took to the skies and flew to Austria to meet up irl with composer Marco Salamida in Vienna during the live music recording session with Vienna’s Symphonic Library’s Synchron Stage musicians!

It was an amazing opportunity to meet each other (many of us for the very first time after months — and in some cases years — of working on the project together!) a rare opportunity for a fully remote game dev team spread across the world like ours!

We got a ton of amazing footage that we’re excited to use as part of future promotions and grand reveals. To further commemorate the event, we have prepared this live OST music preview of “The Killer Is !” exclusively for you, our devlog readers!
After the recordings were finished, the team spent a day exploring Vienna in search of fresh inspiration and reference material for both the concept and 3D artists as they continue to flesh out the world of Unmasked Truths.
The 3D and concept teams have made huge progress on the cafe assets as well, so that we can have the perfect testing ground as more of the voiceover and sprite works have been finalized and the UI is further developed.

The sprite and character artists have also been steadily working away on the final few characters’ sprites, and next next month they’ll dive into storyboards and illustration planning. It won’t be long now before we’re able to share a full-length scene from the game!
