Development Report – May 2025 – New Character Reveal and 3D Progress Feature

In May, we celebrated the birthdays of our illustrious AI overl—ehem—adorable twin mascots, Alice and Thomas! 
Don't forget the very important dates, May 23 and May 24 for when twins Alice and Thomas invite you to their midnight birthday bash!
Next month is Sophia Alexandra’s birthday. If you’d like to have your artwork featured, either message or @ us with your artwork on any of our social media accounts! 
This month the character artists have been hard at work on the CGs, making sure to show off each and every character and location in only the most flattering light—but wait, who’s this new character? He looks a little rough around the edges, but there’s something about him that seems familiar somehow… 
… well, whoever he is, Izumi and Dae Hyun sure seem happy enough to see him!
The 3D and concept teams have accomplished so much since last Blocktober! They’ve taken what was originally a barren, Mars-like landscape and terraformed it brick by brick and leaf by leaf into what it has become today.

Enjoy these before and after snapshots of where we began, and see a glimpse of where we are today…
The 3D team’s next goals are to continue their work refining assets, while the concept team focuses their creative energies on character-specific interior rooms and spaces.
We’re also excited to reveal that, after several months of work, Unmasked Truths: Shattered Dreams’ core UI is now complete! We’ve finalized the text box design into a sleek new form that melds the baroque motifs with a sci-fi twist.
Capriccioso Studio’s Nica Monami has been an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire process, and we’re looking forward to continuing working together on other aspects of the game and its presentation in the coming months.
Eternally working in the background, Unmasked Truths: Shattered Dreams’ mysterious programmer Cam has been diligently fine-tuning the code that will bring together each individual element created by the team and make a complete game. Next month our team is looking forward to having a playable build in-hand, with a slice of the finished music, 3D world, sprites, UI, and voiceover ready to share with the world.
